Bomb of happiness

This blog, is arguably about the things that make no sense in life, or, at least, in the human experience as shaped in the modern western world.

Happiness, being, arguably, what we are all after I guess, does not make sense. All the human intellect combined cannot craft a method to achieve happiness. It can be studied, it can be replicated via whatever chemistry it it stems from, it can be described but cannot be achieved via any sensible method.

Happiness is a bomb. A surprise that takes over us. And it could be that one thing that made us happy today when repeated it will not yield the same effect. It could be that the same thing that made us feel worried or sad, will make us feel happy in the future.

Happiness is a bomb. Comes suddenly, sweeps everything, destroys all worries and fears, and dominates everything it touches.

It also does not last. Like a bomb or an orgasm, it is an extraordinary, uncontrollable feeling and when it settles in some sort of euphoria or content, is not as strong any more.

I guess, all we can do is welcome these bombs. Since they cannot be planned, engineered nor predicted, all we have to do is to be ready for them when they arrive and enjoy them to the maximum. A win, a smile, a hug, a song, a look, a piece of good news, an achievement, a ray of sun or a smell, a new friend or a flirt, let it all explode in our heads and hearts.

Feelings make no sense. Thank God?
